SULB, Achieves Gold Certification from Ministry of Health

SULB is the second industrial and private organisation in Bahrain to achieve this award.

Manama, Bahrain – 10 September 2023: SULB, the first fully integrated light, medium and heavy beams and structural steel sections producer in the Middle East region, has recently achieved the Gold Level Certificate for ‘Health-Promoting Workplace’ from the Ministry of Health (MoH). SULB is the second industrial and private organisation in Bahrain to achieve this award, with the first being Foulath Group’s subsidiary, Bahrain Steel.

The awards ceremony was held on 10th July 2023, at Foulath Clubhouse, in the presence of a delegation from the Ministry of Health and representatives from SULB, including Mr. Ravi Singh, CEO of SULB, and members of its senior management team.

The certification comes as part of the Ministry’s ‘Healthy Workplaces’ Project, introduced by the Health Promotion Directorate to raise health and safety awareness amongst employees and sustain optimal health and safety levels through collaborations with various organisations.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Ravi Singh, CEO of SULB, said: “We are proud to be the second industrial and private organisation in the Kingdom to receive the Gold Level Certificate for ‘Health-Promoting Workplace’. This achievement further underscores our commitment to prioritising the health and safety of our employees at all times. SULB is the Middle East region’s fully integrated medium and heavy beams and structural steel sections producer, and a joint venture between Foulath Holding and Japan’s Yamato Kogyo. SULB operates two plants – located in Hidd in the Kingdom of Bahrain and Jubail in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia .
