There are two SULB plants, one in Hidd, Bahrain and the other in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The distance between the two by sea is 84 nautical miles (roughly 154 kilometres). Together, the two plants cover an area of 540,000 square metres – 5.4 square kilometres.
The Bahrain plant has a DRI facility, a Melt Shop and a medium and heavy section rolling mill, encompassing the whole process from DRI to finished steel. The plant in Jubail is a light-to-medium steel section mill and has unrivalled road access to the large markets of the Arabian Peninsula.

30% Reduction by 2035 Using 2015 as our baseline, we are committed to reducing our Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 30% by 2035. Achieving this target involves overcoming challenges and leveraging breakthrough technologies, policy changes, and market innovations.
Net-Zero by 2060 Our long-term goal is to achieve net-zero emissions by 2060. This target requires significant advancements in green technologies and renewable energy sources, alongside substantial reductions in our carbon emissions intensity.
