Manama, Bahrain – 10 January 2024: SULB, the first fully integrated light, medium, and heavy beams and structural steel sections producer in the Middle East region, is pleased to announce its incredible achievement of hitting record-breaking production numbers in 2023 across all sections in our plants! Melt Shop soared to 1.265 Million Tonnes, Direct Reduction Plant (DRP) hit an impressive 1.619 Million Tonnes, and Heavy Section Mill (HSM) achieved a remarkable target at 653,000 Tonnes. Moreover, Saudi Sulb achieved a new record of producing 411,000 tonnes of light and medium sections.

Taking place ahead of COP28, the event was held from 20 to 22 November 2023, in Dubai, in the presence of senior decision-makers who focused on pertinent decarbonisation and sustainability efforts within the region and beyond.

SULB is the second industrial and private organisation in Bahrain to achieve this award, with the first being Foulath Group’s subsidiary, Bahrain Steel.
